‘Solar Eclipse’ in contention at LA Shorts Int’l Film Festival

Iranian short flick ‘Solar Eclipse’ has been vying at the 25th LA Shorts International Film Festival.

‘Solar Eclipse’, a coproduction by Raha Amir-Fazli and Alireza Qasemi, is currently on the screen at the 2021 LA Shorts International Film Festival which will run through July 31.

‘Solar Eclipse’ has already participated in the 30th edition of the Cote Court film festival in France, the 11th Figari Film Fest (FFF) in Italy and the 44th Short Film Festival of Grenoble in France.

The short film’s synopsis reads, “Just a short time before solar eclipse, Saqi’s life goes through changes”.

The cast list of the short flick includes Khorshid Cheraghipour, Paniz Esmaeeli, Anita Baqeri, Faraz Modiri, and Peyman Naeemi.

‘Solar Eclipse’ is a co-production of the Iranian company Sixth Side and French company White Star. Moreover, Manifest Company is responsible for the international distribution of the short film.

According to its official website, “LA Shorts International Film Festival ranks among the most prestigious and largest international short film festivals in the world.”

“The festival is accredited by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences Oscar, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts BAFTA, and the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television ACCT Canadian Screen Awards.”
